Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADGE LAURA GARDNER (FOSTER) It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful quiet passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Madge Gardner, this past Saturday, May 14, 2016, with family by her side. Mom was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on December 18, 1924. She was predeceased by her husband John Gardner; parents, Robert and Emma Foster; brothers, Bob (Sal) and Don (Ev); sisters, Jean Gardner and Joyce Morrish (Jack); sister-in-law Lil Foster; and brother-in-law Paul Busch. She is survived by her brother Gordon Foster; sister Shirley Busch; daughters, Linda Ahronson (Rod) and Sandra Giesbrecht (Dennis); grandchildren, Wade Ahronson (Daphne), Erin Sheldon (Derrick) and Bain Giesbrecht (Rhonda); and great-grandchildren, Darian, Brock, Jayna, Mara, Davin, Mckaela, Danika and Ava. Mom moved around a lot due to her husband John being in the military. She set up house in towns from Alberta to New Brunswick. She was very easy-going and loved to socialize, giving Mom the opportunity to make lifelong friends along the way. Late in Dad's career, the family settled in Winnipeg. From here they travelled all over Canada and the US. After retirement, this travel increased with Mom's year split between Millers campground in the summer and Mesa, Arizona in the winter. More friends were cultivated along the way. Shuffling in Mesa, Happy Hour at Millers and a game of Crib everywhere kept Mom busy. Later, when she settled into living in Winnipeg, it was the grandkids and great-grandkids that she found pleasure in, along with aquasize, dinners in the block and of course, the mandatory crib tournaments in the Rec Hall. As per Mom's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation and interment has taken place. We would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Program and the nurses and doctors of Unit 3E Riverview Health Centre for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation can be made in Madge's name to Unit 3E Riverview Health at 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. Mom, you are much loved and sorrowfully missed. Sincere condolences to all the family. You have lost a great treasure but rest assured she is in a great place. I played a lot of crib and rumoli amongst many other things with Madge and she was loved by all who knew her. All of us at Delta Manor will miss her immensely. Thank you for sharing her with us. - Posted by: Yolande Delorme (friend) on: May 21, 2016

We were so sorry to hear the sad news of Madge's passing. Our sincere sympathy to all the family. We have many wonderful memories of our time spent with Madge at the campground. She was always so interested in hearing all about our activities and how our children were doing. - Posted by: Al & Kerry Bartlett (Friends from Miller's Campground) on: May 21, 2016
