Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD EDWARD BRAUN It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Gerry, at the age of 76 years, on May 20, 2016. Gerry was predeceased by his first wife Donna, and brother Richard. He is survived by his second wife Audrea; sons Curtis (Joanna) and Jason (Janine); stepchildren Patricia (Jamie) and Dennis (Catherine); grandchildren, Jude, Tanner, Taylor, Jersey, Jordan, Talia, Paige and Jace; brothers Dar (Carol), Al (Linda), and countless nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends. Gerry was born April 6, 1940 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan to Peter and Tena Braun. His good nature and generosity touched everyone he met. His love for nature and the outdoors was abundant and he treasured his many fishing trips, golfing extravaganzas, skiing holidays and vacations he experienced with his family and friends. Gerry worked to live and wore many hats to earn a living. From flipping cars and restoring pianos to being a contractor and owning a business. He was a talented carpenter and musician. He effortlessly played the piano and harmonica. He loved the lake and cabin he built at Lester Beach. Lester Beach is where he retired and instantly became well known to all in the community. His master carpentry abilities and all-round handyman skills made him a trusted man that would help any and all who asked. A celebration of Gerry's life will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline Street in Selkirk, Manitoba. Very sorry to hear about Gerry's passing. Over the last number of years, Gerry did a lot of renos at our cabin. He was there so often he felt like part of our family.
