Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNARD GOZANSKY August 9, 1938 - May 19, 2016 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and stepfather, Bernard (Bernie) Gozansky on May 19, 2016, at the age of 77 years, at Seven Oaks General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 16 years, Rose Marie Gozansky (nee Appleyard), sister Ethel of Niagara Falls, brother Nathan (Naty) of Montreal, QC, his children: daughters Sariva (Leslie) Trattner of Montreal, QC, Eunice (Benjamin) Preszow of Montreal, QC, and Natasha Gozansky of Nova Scotia; stepdaughters Brenda Lavallee (Dammie), Catherine (Ira) Bouley, Yvonne (Douglas) Palahitski, and Diana (Vince) Martel, all of Winnipeg; son Kalman Gozansky of Montreal, QC, and stepsons Lloyd Appleyard of Winnipeg, Bill (Cheryl) Beck and Darryl Beck (Carol) of Edmonton, AB. Bernie had 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, his beloved dog Sadie, numerous nieces, nephews, sister and brother, in-laws and numerous friends. Bernie was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Gertrude (nee Sylvia) Gozansky, of Montreal, QC, brother-in-law Pat O'Brien of Niagara Falls, and grandson Michael Aikenhead of Winnipeg. Bernard was born in Montreal and came to Winnipeg to pursue his career as a locksmith where he set up his own business. He spent the remainder of his years in Winnipeg. A very special thank you to the Palliative Care Program for allowing him to be home for as long as he was, case coordinator Cori, respite worker Theresa, and nurse Jen.
