BROTHER LIONEL GODARD (1939-2016) It is with great sadness that the family and Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) wish to announce the passing of Brother Lionel Godard on Sunday May 22, 2016 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 77. Brother Lionel was born and raised in St. Jean-Baptiste, MB. In 1959, Lionel was welcomed into the community of the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) where he humbly dedicated his life to missionary work for over 50 years in Tanzenia, Kenya and Canada. He leaves to mourn his passing, his brother; sisters; many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his parents, Cyprien and Jeanne (nee Sabourin) Godard; and his sister Rosemarie Dupuis. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Riverview Health Centre for the loving and tender care given to Brother Lionel during his stay, as well as the wonderful staff at Résidence Despins. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 27th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Résidence Despins, 151 Despins St. in St. Boniface. Desjardins 233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
