She participated in many art shows and exhibitions, was instrumental in establishing two artist groups, and was a member of several galleries in Winnipeg and a member of the Winnipeg Craft Council. • I lived in Neepawa and was the Ingadlson family's paper boy for a few years and Murray was a fraternity brother at University of Manitoba. Although Helen was more my sister Sharon's age, we got to know each other in Toronto. I always loved Helen's great smile, laughter and sense of humour. I liked her clay sculpture, painting and print making and her artistic spirit. My sincere condolences to her family. - Posted by: Frank Pasquill (Friend) on: May 29, 2016

  • My condolences to you Martin, and to Helen's family. She was a special person in so many different ways. First met Helen when we worked together at Mount Carmel Clinic and remained friends for all of 40 plus yrs. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Lyla McLean (Friend) on: May 29, 2016

  • I will always cherish the memories of growing up with Helen as young children in Neepawa, climbing trees and playing on the cannon in the court yard. The Manitoba tours when Helen and Martin would drop in for a visit with Fran and I and we would relive some of the old days. These visits and phone calls will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Dave & Fran Brooker (First Cousin) on: May 28, 2016

  • Got to know Helen when she lived in Oakville and then visited in Winnipeg. Lovely lady, very artistic. I enjoyed our times together. Enjoyed discussing Bertram Brooker's work with her. Love to all the family. - Posted by: John Brooker (Cousin) on: May 27, 2016

  • Too early Helen. Will miss the visits from you and Martin. The phone calls that we had filled with serious chat and lots of laughs. We admire your fighting spirit and the zest for life, family, caring, art and learning. You can finally rest minus the pain, in peace. - Posted by: Court & Betty Brooker (First Cousin) on: May 26, 2016
