Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • To the Whittleton Family: Our Condolences. Blake was always a very good neighbour & friend to Tom's parents - John & Dorothy Hiebert. When they sold the farm, Blake was there meeting the new owners and being willing to help them in whatever ways possible. I'm sure you will miss him greatly, but you can also carry him in your hearts. Treasure your memories of him. Remember the lessons you learned from him. - Posted by: Tom & BJ Hiebert (Friends) on: Jun 09, 2016

  • We met Blake and travelled with him on the Coast to Coast 2000 Tour and spent many nights in the same motels. We visited his home after his wife passed. Two years later I sold him his Edsel. He really liked it and we travelled with him in 2010 to Victoria, BC. We talked 2 or 3 times every year. What a great friend. My sympathy to Mary and his family. - Posted by: Bob Ford, Mount Pearl, Newfoundland (Friend) on: Jun 05, 2016

  • I saw Blake at the post office in the past week and had a brief talk with him teasing him about having too much grain that they had to build more bins. We had known each other for the past 45 years and a better man would be hard to find. My condolences to the Whittleton family - Posted by: Vern Henry (friend) on: Jun 03, 2016

  • Sincere condolences to the Whittleton Family. I will miss seeing Blake on the street or when he came into the Post Office to get his mail. He always said Hi Mrs & always stopped for a quick chat. I asked him one time if he knew my name, as he always called me Mrs. He said sure, its Barbara. We both laughed. RIP Blake - Posted by: Barbara Rowe () on: Jun 02, 2016
