HELMUTH BOEHM Helmuth Boehm, aged 71, passed away on June 1, 2016 after a long time battle with heart disease and diabetes. He leaves behind his wife Kathy; daughter Ursula; son and a brother Adolf. He was predeceased by his mother Adeline; father Herman; and brother Gunther. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, his daughter, and many friends. Helmuth was fortunate to have many lifelong friends he considered like family, who were there for him when he needed them. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception to follow. Pallbearers will be Tommy Magers, Gary Magers, John Webinger, Ray Lodders, Darryl Dory and Bobby Bryck. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

Met Hal back if the mid 80's when I was working at 17 Wing CFB Winnipeg. Hal was always happy and positive . Got along with everyone that I can remember and considered him a good friend . Although we never hung out together, I would run into him at different places around the city and we always found time to shoot the shit for a short while before going our ways . After he retired from 17 Wing I would still run into him now and then , and as always we would talk about old times back at the Base . I had not seen him for a long time and was thinking of him recently and wondered how he was doing . I was sad to hear the news that he had passed and will truly miss having those short but pleasant chats we had when having that luck of bumping into one another once and a while.
