BRIAN SWIFT December 27, 1943 - May 28, 2016 With great sadness Brian Swift, an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, and brother, lost his battle to liver cancer May 28, 2016. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife Fern, of 53 years, children and grandchildren, Rob (Lana), Gary (Michelle, Amanda), and Janice (Hunter, Jax). Brian was predeceased by his parents Doug and Carrie Swift, as well as sister Linda. Left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers Fred (Sandra), and Greg (Mona), and the rest of the family that adored him dearly as did he adore them all! Brian's favourite memories were spent camping at Riding Mountain National Park and enjoying the countless family functions. Brian worked in Stationary for most of his younger years, the last 20 plus years doing maintenance at Victoria Arms. There will be a graveside service for immediate family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Liver Foundation of Manitoba, The Grace Hospital Foundation (that gave Brian amazing care in his last fighting days!) and Winnipeg Humane Society for his love of animals. • We will miss Uncle Brian so much!! Very glad we got to see that big smile one more time. He was so kindhearted and I love his down to earth personality and how he always put family first! Our deepest sympathy to aunt Fern and Gary and Robb and Janice! You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Sending much love to you! - Posted by: Alyson Loewen (niece) on: Jun 17, 2016

  • Barb had lots of fond memories at family get togethers with music and great times. I (Henry) got to know him after Barb and I started dating and always had a good time together. We are both glad we got together with Brian & Fern, Fred & Sandra, and Greg & Mona, 2 years ago on our last trip to Winnipeg. Regards Barb and Henry - Posted by: Barb and Henry Kozminski (1st cousin to Barb) on: Jun 05, 2016
