Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARMELITA PURIFICACION Carmelita (Mely) Sapitan Purificacion, born April 2, 1927 in Imus, Cavite, Philippines, passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on May 28, 2016, at Seven Oaks Hospital, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Protacio (Tacio) Aledia Purificacion; and siblings: Lolita, Corazon, Leticia, Anastacia, Eduardo and Jessie, and survived by David, Romulo, Ester, Liwanag and Belen. Mely will forever be remembered by her beloved children: Domingo Purificacion (deceased) who is survived by his wife, Imelda and children: Denmark, Dommel (Erika, Keira, Kael and Kailey) and Ivy (Anjo and Aviel); Meyette Inocencio (Mel) and children: Marianne (Chris, Matthew and baby Bowker), May (Tav) and Mylene; Edith Camandang (Benjie) and children: BJ and Eda; Noel Purificacion and children: Darryl and Bryce Kelsey; Arnel Purificacion (Celia) and children: JP (Charlene and Allyx) and Sunshine, along with other countless family and friends who were blessed to know her. Mely was a very joyous woman whose smile and laughter was infectious, especially while enjoying the company of others. She expressed her love of fashion through sewing and shopping, as well as capturing her special moments in a collection of photographs, which she was proud to display. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to family, friends, homecare workers and Seven Oaks Hospital, for your love, care and support. Friends and family are invited to attend lamay (viewing) services on Thursday, June 9, 2016 and Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Filipino United Community Church, 1039 Pritchard Ave. Interment and reception will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
