JO PEARSON 1932 - 2016 Peacefully on June 5, 2016, with her family at her side, Jo Pearson left to join those gone before her. Jo was predeceased by her parents Edward Marriott (Red Deer, AB) her mother Betty Henry (Victoria, BC), her brother Jack Marriott (Victoria, BC), brother-in-law Ian MacDonald (Victoria, BC), husband Albert Pearson (Winnipeg, MB), her daughter Shaune Bratsberg, and infant granddaughter Jennifer Pearson (Winnipeg, MB). Jo was born on November 5, 1932 in Vancouver, BC. She was the eldest of six children: Jack, De, Peter (Pat), Peggy, and Bill (Penny). She moved to Manitoba where she met Albert Pearson and married on October 12, 1957. Their son Clay came along on February of 1959 and daughter Maureen in 1962. One of Jo's passions was her unique sense of fashion, which was evident in her profession as an optician by helping her clientele in choosing the eyewear that would suit their style and personality. Other passions of Jo's were expressing her artistic abilities and her love of all forms of art whether they be conventional or abstract. Jo is survived by her son Clay (Deb), grandsons: Keith (Teagan) great-grandchildren: Izzy and Ian; Andrew. Daughter Maureen (Rick) grandchildren: Mathew and Sara; and numerous nieces and nephews from both Winnipeg and British Columbia. The family wishes to thank the caring and dedicated staff at Meadowood Manor where Jo had lived for the past eight years. You took wonderful care of Mom! As per her wishes there will not be a formal service but rather a private family memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Meadowood Manor Foundation, 577 St. Anne's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5B2, in memory of Jo Pearson so they can continue with their excellent care of our loved ones. "In tears I saw you sinking Mom, I watched you fade away from me. God alone knows how I miss you, as it dawns another day" "We love you Mom....goodbye".
