KEITH BOYD It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and friend. On Wednesday, June 8, 2016, true to his nature and on his own terms, Keith passed away at home, secure in the fact that his family have the qualities of strength and resiliency to carry on. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jan, daughter, Donna, grandchildren Alexander and Nadya, stepsons James (Monique and Finlay) and Scott (Amanda and Jack). Keith led a full life and embraced everyone he met both personally and professionally. His passion for his life long career in the automotive industry meant so much to him. His friends and family all knew how much he loved to laugh, have fun and sing to his favourites; Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline and Johnny Horton. He could have a conversation with anyone and his charm and commitment to others gained him many dear and close friends with whom he golfed, sailed, and played slo-pitch. A true family man only a call away, he was always willing to lend a hand with anything we asked, for as long we needed - showing us his love and care with every word and act. He was especially proud of his beloved grandchildren, and enjoyed every moment he had to spend with them. Treasured memories include summer holidays at Clear Lake, golfing, teaching them to drive, or simply just enjoying their company and conversation. Keith will always be remembered for the tremendous amount of attention to detail he paid to every task and undertaking and coined a word to describe his philosophy "GENI'". GENI, an acronym for "Good Enough Never Is", represented his mantra to never do anything half way, and instead give it your all in every situation. For the last number of years, Keith spent many hours endlessly and enthusiastically promoting the work of the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and greatly valued his role on its Board. He loved to travel and spent many wonderful winters with Jan and their treasured friends in Mexico. You gave us many things in life, gifts both great and small. But most of all, you gave us your love, the greatest gift of all. A celebration of Keith's life will be held on Monday, June 13 at The Gates, 6945 Roblin Blvd., at 4:00 p.m. To all the special caregivers, we offer our sincerest thanks. In lieu of flowers, and in support of his tireless dedication to CancerCare Manitoba, please consider a donation in Keith's memory. It is with great sadness I hear of Keith's passing! He was so full of life and there were so many days we shared in the kitchen at cooking club just laughing with the other guys...what joy, what fun. That was the way Keith, enjoying every moment, every opportunity to live life to it's fullest. We met @ St. James Kinsmen in 1976 when our young family returned from Thunder Bay. 8 years of Skatethon Fund Raising and financial ability to build an Indoor Skating rink was great satisfaction to us all, including the after event get-togethers. We became true friends. We spent many Friday evening card games spontaneously with our other great friends, as well as several Friday Lunch hours. The Annual Golf weekends at the McMasters at the beach was a treasured date on our calendars (10 guys in 1 expansive cottage). Keith was the ultimate automobile salesman his whole life & ever cognizant in assisting the careers in the industry. Keith was ever so fortunate to meet a lady who had the Love, Strength, & Capability to give him the happiness and faith in Love of Family. He has left us all too soon, but in the knowledge that he was at peace with his life. Happy to Meet, Sorry to Part, Happy to Meet Again. I am totally surprised to hear of Keith's passing. Keith and I worked at Birchwood GM for many years. We had a great working relationship and as we did with the rest of the Birchwood team over those years. Keith and Jan came out to our cottage at Culloden Lake several times and we always caught fish, listened and sang to Roy Orbison and had lots of laughs. Our hearts go out to all of Keith's family. Dear Jan, Donna and family, We are deeply saddened at your loss and the loss of our dear friend! Keith and Jan quickly became special friends with my husband and I when we arrived in Punta de Mita, Mexico. If it had not been for Keith's emails of gentle encouragement, that the condo next door to him in Punta de Mita was for sale, we most likely would not be enjoying the winter Mexican life style which we have grown to love. Keith was wonderful to be with, whether it was BBQing or making paella with our Spanish friend. We had lots of laughs during our visits and card games. Keith was always thoughtful and willing to help out. Even if it meant having to drive, on an extremely hot day, into the city airport to pick up my friends, which he didn't even know. Then Keith surprised us with ice cream cones, dripping from his hands, as we waited in the car while he went into the grocery store. On another occasion, it was hilarious to see Keith coming along with fresh fish on a string. He had gone to get fresh fish from the fish market for our Spanish friend who had just come in from fishing, empty handed. One of the little corner stores in our Mexican village that Keith frequented, my friends have named Keith's store. We feel fortunate to have known Keith and have so many fond memories with Keith and Jan. Jan, Donna and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Our deepest sympathy, With love Bobbie and Bruce Kelowna, BC - Posted by: Bobbie and Bruce Currie (Friends ) on: Jun 11, 2016

We have fond memories with Keith and Jan in Punta de Mita Mexico. Everything from having Keith arrange for the local pub to open early in the morning so that we could watch the Canadian men and women's hockey teams play in the Olympics, to a beautiful dinner on the beach on Valentines Day. It was hard to miss Keith's great laughter which became even more exuberant as the Margaritas flowed . We will miss him dearly. Our love and thoughts to Jan and family. - Posted by: Lana and Jeanette (Friends) on: Jun 10, 2016
