Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My deepest thoughts and condolence go to the family of Mr. David Sanders. Mr. Sanders is a great leader and activist, and a proud of Winnipeg. I have had the honour to meet him for a few times in Taxicab meetings. His charisma, intelligence, and personality have a profound influence on me. As the chairman of the Taxicab Board, Mr. Sanders gave his firm support to promote accessible taxicab service in the city of Winnipeg. He cared about the life quality of persons with disability, and he brought the changes that will forever be appreciated by many people in Winnipeg. May Mr. Sanders rest in peace! THANK YOU for all your wonderful deeds for Winnipeg! With deepest sympathy, Kamal Solaimani All Access Taxi - Posted by: Kamal Solaimani () on: Jun 14, 2016

  • David, Christa, Jillian and Jim; So very sorry and saddened to hear of your Father's untimely death. Although we haven't over the years kept in contact I will always consider your Dad as my friend. Just last week I was at West Hawk Lake and drove down Crescent Beach Road stopping in front of our old place and your Cabin ... brought back a lot of memories. • I offer my sincerest condolences to Mr Sanders' family and all those who knew and loved him. Many activists blunt their effectiveness by becoming little more than irritants but Mr Sanders was a superbly intelligent man who presented himself cogently with well-reasoned arguments for his various positions. He was a rare activist, a rare human being. His family's loss is also the loss of all Winnipeggers. May you be comforted in your sorrow. - Posted by: Gord Richardson (Winnipegger who valued Mr Sanders' intelligent activism) on: Jun 14, 2016
