Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE KNOX March 26, 1929 - June 12, 2016 Peacefully Sophie passed away on June 12, 2016 in Winnipeg. She will be missed by her husband of 67 years, Arthur Knox; daughters Debbie LeRoux (Ron) and Darlene Parsons (Gary); grandchildren Meghan Smart, Crystal Patrick (Simon), Steven Parsons, Carla Masters (Shane) and Stephanie Smith (Jared); great-grandchildren Brianna McMillian, Abby and Charlotte Masters, Carter Smith, Jackson and Tucker Patrick, Leeland Edwards and Brody Smart; and sister Elsie Miller. The family would like to thank the home care workers Kelly, Annie and Stacey, as well as family friends and neighbours for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on June 18, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue at 2:00 p.m. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Great grandma and great grandpa were the best. I miss them so much. They taught me what kindness looks like and how no relationship is perfect but you can get through it if you really want to be together. Grandpa Knox had amazing stories to tell that I will miss and no matter what he was always building or fixing something whenever I would come over. I will never forget the day when he was over with grandma and I learned how to bike with no training wheels. Grandma Knox had many stories to tell as well. She would always talk and talk and talk when I was over and alone with her there was no stop to that lol. Sophie was a great gardener ...stunningly beautiful flowers and healthy vegetables. I will always remember her kindness and concern for my Mother in her lifetime illness. She will be missed.
