MIKE MUSHALUK November 13, 1921 - May 30, 2016 Mike Mushaluk passed away peacefully at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Anna (nee Bednar); his children and grandchildren; son Bill and Phyllis, their son Bryce (Alissa); son Dennis and Cathryn Eliuk and their children, Genevieve and Madeleine; daughter Anita and Vern Lischynski and their children, Stacy and Jesse (Lindsay). Mike was predeceased by his parents, Eudokia and Michael; five brothers: John (Olga), Sam (Anne), Harry, Maurice (Anne) and Peter; and three sisters: Maria (Stephen) Fedoryshen, Nellie (John) Edbom and Tekla (Tillie) (Hardeen) Vinji. Mike grew up on the family farm in Caliento, Manitoba. Later he joined his parents on their farm in Piney, where he chose to continue to reside when he married his bride Anna. Mike was a loving, sociable and generous man. He took particular joy in interacting with his family, including his extended family and especially his grandchildren, as well as close friends and neighbours. He will be deeply missed by us all. A private memorial service was held on June 4, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethesda Foundation, 316 Henry St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0P9 or CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
