Jessie was a War Bride who served in the Second World War in the British ATS as a radar operator where she met the love of her life, the young Canadian, Donald Grant Thompson (passed in 2000). Jessie was the last of her English family, predeceased by her siblings, Irene, Betty, Jim and Philip, but survived by her nieces, and grandnieces and nephews of their extended families. She is survived by her four children, Grant, Philip (Janis), Danny, and Shanon. She was proud of her grandchildren, Colleen (Jamie), Kyle (Susan), and Karen, and of her great-grandchildren, Jasper, Waverley and Gabriel; and her beloved pets. She was a grand and spirited lady whose bright smile will be missed by so many. A celebration of her life will be held at her home in West Vancouver on her birthday Monday, June 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A donation in her memory to your local humane society or pet shelter would make her smile again.
