NORM DUPUIS 1954 - 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norm Dupuis, at the St. Boniface Hospital, on June 10, 2016. He is predeceased by his father André Dupuis, mother Yvette (Lavallée) and brother-in-law Noël Jolicoeur. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Alice Dupuis, sister Lucie Jolicoeur and numerous nieces and nephews. Norm grew up in St. Boniface and started working at Parmalat, (formerly Modern Dairy) in high school and continued working there until he had to retire, due to his health. He was a proud Royal Canadian Legion member and could often be found playing shuffleboard. Norm loved spending time with his friends, whether it was fishing at the lake, playing darts with the "sandbaggers" or riding his bike. Norm was a genuine and down-to-earth guy and made friends wherever he went. He would give you the shirt off his back, the last dime in his pocket or the last beer in his cooler. Norm, you will be missed. The family would like to greatly thank Craig and Diane, for always being there for Norm. We appreciate it so much and know that Norm thought the world of you guys. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, especially the palliative care team and we would also like to thank the many friends who came to visit Norm. He appreciated your visits so much and loved getting all the treats that he wasn't allowed to have before going into the hospital. Pepsi, chocolate milk, cheesecake and his favourite burger, shout out to Mrs. Mikes!!!! Norm was an avid animal lover, so in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society or your local animal shelter. A celebration of Norm's life will take place in the fall. Norm was one in a million - always caring about others. His friends were considered family. We spent Norm's last days in palliative care with brother Ray and sister Lucie bedside. We told stories about "the good old days" and had lots of laughs together. They were Norm's rock when we were there. We marveled at the love and the caring they gave to their brother. We thank Normie for all the many great years of friendship, of dart-playing, and for helping at the St. Jean Hotel. Not forgotten and forever loved!!! - Posted by: Gord and Brucie Kusmack (Friends) on: Jun 20, 2016

It is with great sadness I learned of Normand's health and finally to his passing. I remember years past when Mom, Dad, my sister Ginette and I would all come to visit your family in Winnipeg. Drove all the way from the country to visit on Sunday. Those visits are to this day, the most precious outings - never forgotten. We were welcomed with open arms, and your Dad would run to the same place you worked to get ice cream. Normand you entertained my sister & I with such heart and fun. Thank you for the memories.
