Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROGER BRIAN LEDOCHOWSKI October 25, 1958 - June 17, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved son and brother Roger, age 57, on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Seven Oaks Hospital with his sister, Roxane, at his side. Roger will be lovingly remembered by his mother Laura and father George; his sister Roxane (Craig); and his brothers, Ross (Sonya) and Rodney (Diana); as well as his nieces and nephews, Kristen (Kirk), Jennifer, Wesley, Michelle, and Brayden; Kaila, Kailen, and Rye; Jade, Jake, and Jacey. Also left to honour his memory are many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His Aunt Ida was very dear to him. We thank all those friends and loved ones who visited him. Your companionship was greatly appreciated. Roger spent the early years of his life in Chatfield before moving to Teulon. He worked as a bartender in the Cardinal Lounge at the family-owned G L Restaurant and was a longtime greenskeeper at Teulon Golf Country Club. Roger was a dedicated member of Teulon-Rockwood Fire Dept. He touched many lives, often meeting his buddies for coffee, and enjoyed occasional fishing trips. Roger took great pride in his lawn care, and he loved feeding the birds. As his health declined, Roger spent much of his time watching TV, especially curling. He was also an avid reader of Archie Comics. We will remember most his loving, kind nature and sense of humour. His will to live while overcoming physical challenges was truly remarkable. A memorial service will be held in his honour on Wednesday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Teulon-Rockwood Centennial Centre. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to his exceptional care providers at Seven Oaks for their compassion, especially Dr. S. Dunsmore, Dr. S. Armstrong, and the nurses and aides in the Dialysis units who went above and beyond for Roger. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada - Manitoba Branch, 1-452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1G4, or a charity of one's choice. May you rest peacefully, Roger, until we meet again. MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon 204-467-2525 info@mackenziefh.com

I will miss Roger very much and all the good times we had on the Golf Course at Teulon. Playing golf, looking for irrigation heads, which he could only find. Working on our sleds in the shop doing the winter months. Roger was a friend to all and never had anything bad to say about anyone. He will be deeply missed and it was a honor to have him as my friend. - Posted by: Craig MacLeod (Friend) on: Jun 21, 2016

I knew Roger when he was a teenager/young adult..... I was his sister's best friend for several years growing up until we graduated and then we went on different paths. During that time and Roger was a huge part of her life and in turn, a part of mine. He was always there for his family and his siblings. He had a very gentle nature and a huge heart much like his mom.......I know that he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Roger :'( - Posted by: Donna Stock (friend) on: Jun 21, 2016

I posted the following on my Facebook page a few minutes ago: "Although he doesn't appear to have ever been on Facebook, I would like to take a moment to honour the memory of Roger Ledochowski of Teulon, Manitoba, who passed away yesterday, 17 June 2016. He loved reading Archie comics, hearing good jokes, and watching curling—so long as it didn't involve Jennifer Jones! He and I have had dialysis in the same unit at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg for some months now, and I will miss him. I am glad to call him my friend." - Posted by: Nathan Terrace (Friend) on: Jun 18, 2016
