Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES CONRAD PEEBLES It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our father, James Conrad Peebles on June 15, 2016 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn his children, Sharon (Glenn), Bruce (Maggie), Karen, Curtis (Cindy), Susan (Edward) and Shelley; 15 grandchildren, Stacey, Charlene, Michelle, Amber, Shelley Lynn, Kyle, Jeff, Jason, Blaise, Tristan, Jade, Kyra, Dylan, Marnie and Sharalyn and eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Hanna, Tyler, Kiera, Josephine, Abby, Oliver and Shayla; as well as seven sisters; three brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his wife Josephine (nee Sinclair), parents Mary Anne and James and brothers Kenny and Andy. Dad was born in Selkirk on December 2, 1933. He was raised in Lockport and was the oldest of thirteen children. Dad worked at a young age alongside his father in their Lockport bait shop. He began a career at the Manitoba Rolling Mills where he stayed for 33 years until his retirement in 1991, which was also the year he lost his wife. He spent the next 25 years of his retirement watching his family grow. Dad loved hockey, watching his grandkids play sports, driving around visiting, offering his opinion on just about everything to anyone who would listen. He loved listening to his fiddle music, especially singing a tune to get his grandchildren jigging. We will deeply miss our father but find peace in knowing he and mother are dancing together once again. Prayers will be held on Monday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Manitoba. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Interment will take place in the St. Andrew's on the Red Anglican cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home. Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Sincere condolences to `Jimmy's' family.. Now he and Bill can talk hockey and compare opinions of the game and players. I will miss having coffee with Jim at the mall. Having him give me a ride to different functions was an experience. He took up bowling with us and enjoyed. Rest in peace old friend you will be missed. - Posted by: Clara Jeffrey (Friend) on: Jun 20, 2016

We are so sorry for your loss. Our daughter played hockey with Kyra. Mr. Peebles would be at every game, cheering the kids on. He was a very nice man that showed his love for his family. Jeff, Tracy and Gillian Cassie - Posted by: Tracy Cassie (acquaintance) on: Jun 20, 2016
