Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES WILLIAM MCLENNAN September 11, 1923 - June 16, 2016 Jim passed away peacefully at Golden Links Lodge after a long and full life. He was predeceased by his wife Alice; and is survived by his son, Ian; his sister Jean; and brother Jack in Alberta, and his niece and nephews. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1941 and served in France, Holland and Germany until his discharge in 1946. Jim was employed by J.H. Ashdown for 16 years before moving Transport Canada at the airport. He retired from Transport Canada in 1988 after a career of 22 years. Jim belonged to Beaver Ionic Lodge #25 of the Masons, St. Boniface Golf Club, the St. Andrews Society, the Transport Canada Association, St. Vital Curling Club and Windsor Park United Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Windsor Park United Church. Dear Ian and family, My deepest condolences with the loss of your father and friend. I recall meeting with your parents in London, Ontario and playing golf near Port Franks, Ontario, with Jim, my dad Ru, you and I. Only great memories of a kind and a delightful man. I'm sorry I can't be with you at the funeral this week, as I'm in Seoul, Korea, but my heart goes out to you and your family. Love you, man!
