True to his kind nature and on his own terms, he left to be reunited with Mom. A celebration of his life will be held at the ANAVETS Legion, 3584 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on Monday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m. A longer obituary will follow in the Saturday edition. So very sorry to hear of Mel's passing. I have some very fond memories of both Mel, Marg and you girls while visiting my parents, Tom & Shirley Lumb, when they lived next door to each other in Winnipeg. The stories of our parent's shenanigans while getting into the rum and the many trips they took together are classics. The four of them certainly had a good time together! Whenever our parents spoke on the phone, your Dad was always proud to update them on his girls and their families. He was a proud Dad and Grandpa!
