DAVID CHARLES PROTEAU It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Davy, Sunday, June 19, 2016 after a brief hospitalization at the Victoria General Hospital. David was born April 28, 1963 and resided at St. Amant Centre for a good part of his life, as well as the Manitoba Developmental Centre in Portage La Prairie. David will be remembered for his sense of humour and his love of family. Davy was predeceased by his father Victor; his grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles; and other relatives. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mom Joan Proteau (Paulusma); sisters Laurie (John) Henderson and Wendy Proteau of Winnipeg; brother Jason Proteau of Medicine Hat, AB; nephews, Joshua and Riley Henderson, and Ayden Proteau (Alberta), as well as numerous relatives and all his friends at St. Amant. We would like to thank all the staff at St. Amant Centre for the wonderful care and support given to Davy, as well as the staff at MDC. A memorial service will be held at St. Amant Centre, 440 River Rd., on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the St. Adolphe Parish cemetery at 4.00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Amant Centre.
