SPENCE ALLISON Unexpectedly, at his residence in Sandy Hook, MB, Spence Allison, aged 78 years, passed away. A small celebration will be held at a later date for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, a donation to his designated charities would be gratefully received by either the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.

  • I'm very sad to hear of Spence's passing and offer my sincere condolences to his family. I had the pleasure of working with Spence at Crown Lands and Property Agency. Spence possessed a positive outlook, friendly personality and was more than willing to share his time and his comprehensive knowledge of appraisal and negotiating arts. He became both a mentor and a friend. After he "retired" from his contract work with CLPA we would periodically meet for lunch. How I wish we could get together one more time!   • My wife and I offer our condolences to Spence's family. He was a very interesting, easy going person that I was honoured to count as one of my friends.   • I have nothing but the FONDEST memories growing up in the cottage next door to Mr Allison. He taught my mom and my brother and I to paint rocks, and helped my mom create a stunning re-creation of "the Point" which is hanging in my livingroom. My mom passed away in September, and I know she is up there and they will both be watching over Ponemah, and Sandy bay areas.
