Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUNHILDA (MANTEI) STEIDLE 1928 - 2015 Brunhilda (Mantei) Steidle was born on November 15, 1928 in Outram, Saskatchewan and passed away at the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg on December 26, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Utho Steidle; and their children, Doreen, Heather (Don) and Robert (Kelli); and eight grandchildren, Chris (Bena), Graham, James and Katie Gwozdecky, Nickolas and Gabrielle Dudek, Caprice and Neal Steidle, of whom she was most proud. She is predeceased by her parents, Reinhold and Henrietta; her sisters, Lorraine, Carey, Erna and Linda and her brothers, Carl and Allan. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, Manitoba at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 2016. Bunny's favorite color was "purple" and we encourage everyone who attends to wear a dash of purple on their attire in memory of her. Lastly, Bunny was a nurse who believed in the healing power of plants. The Steidle family has made a donation to the horticulture therapy program in the Roof Top Garden at the Misericordia Hospital, where she trained, in her memory.
