MARTI CHERNEY (DROBOT) Marti passed away at Riverview Health Centre, Monday, June 20, 2016. Marti was predeceased by husbands Wilf Drobot in 1996 and Gordon Cherney in 2009. Marti is survived by her son, Rick Drobot and his wife Pam, sister Colleen of Edmonton, and brother Doug (Kristine) of Belleville. Marti was born in Ontario and spent the early part of her life there. She moved to Winnipeg in the mid 1970s and loved working in retail at Eldorado Drugs, Eatons and Suzy Creamcheese. Rick and Pam would like to thank Riverview Health Centre for the tender care Marti received there. A special thanks to Barbara Bandlow who is an exceptional caregiver as well as great support for the two of us. We would also like to thank WRHA Home Care Team and the staff at Riverwood Square for the great care while she resided there. Marti has been cremated and her ashes will be spread in Ontario.
