I first met Bert up north many years ago, and as I recall, he helped myself and my crew out of a few tight spots. Bert was quite knowledgeable and was willing to assist in any way he could. I ran into Bert again in Gimli where we curled a few games !! Rest in peace Bert . - Posted by: Bob Crawley (Co Worker) on: Jul 06, 2016

My Dear brother Bert (Sonny) as we knew him. A life well lived. Bert was away from the family for many years working up north. I remember when growing up, I would see Bert about every five years or run into him in Gimli at icelandingadaugurin. Bert was the oldest and I was the youngest. That never stopped him from being my favorite brother when i was young. Love you brother. Be a bright star at night for all of us to see when we think of you. My condolences to all Bert's children, he was a special guy. Your sister Donna. - Posted by: Donna Toews(Sveinson) (Sister) on: Jul 06, 2016
