  • I have known Donnie for decades. He had his difficult struggles with Mental Illness for many years but managed to always be friendly. Donnie will always be remembered by me - especially for those great times we had together like enjoying many walks together, talks, coffees, beer, wine and travelling to various places in Canada and the U.S.! Up to its final closing date, Donnie would meet up with the boys at Eaton's (the usually, bronze statue of Timothy Eaton, near the elevators on the main floor)! Donnie was a very strong person, as he would just, pick me up over his head when we would rough it up wrestling and throw me like i was a piece of paper! Donnie could be quite, an athlete too - having jogged to Steinbach (just, outside of # 12 Hwy., where Hwy # 1 junctures)! We used to joke with him and say to him, "It was a good thing you blew a moccasin or you would of been in Toronto in another 2 hours"! He would just, break-up and laugh! Playing Football, Hockey, Donnie played them very well along with the boys when we were younger!R I P Donnie!!! You now, have escaped the hell, that you were chased by, in your illness for the duration of your adult life! See you in the future ... in a time where all will be restored in a better world for all of mankind! - Posted by: Randy Fisher (Friend) on: Jul 11, 2016
