Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST (ERNIE) JAMES STEFISHEN Peacefully on July 9, 2016, Ernie passed away in his sleep at Seven Oaks Hospital after a lengthy illness. Ernie was predeceased by his father Steve, his mother Pauline, and brothers, Gordon, and Brian. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth, of 46 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Roxane, James (Natalie) and Curtis (Tiffany). He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Katelyn (Bobby), Ryan, Kristen, Mia, Selina and Nolan. He also adored his great-grandchildren, Matthew and Michael; siblings, Gerry (Pearl), Irene (George), Bob and Larry (Debbie); and also many nieces and nephews. His other loves in his life were the Winnipeg Jets, Blue Bombers, gardening, cooking, drawing, and fishing. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Doctor Edward (Ted) St. Godard at Palliative Care. Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

Uncle Ernie you will missed very much and never forgotten. I loved our little jokes between us, I was always was taller than you, not by much though. The Christmas eve where it took you forever to get those perogies cooked and you had show uncle Bob and myself your famous flipping very impressive!! My goodness we were all so hungry and all you wanted to do was talk and flip. That evening will not be forgotten my two uncles and myself preparing dinner, lots of laughter and the Ukrainain Carols.
