MARVYN GLENN COLEMAN August 17, 1937 - July 10, 2016 Marvyn went to be with his beloved Saviour on July 10, 2016, with his family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his wife Christine, son Cameron (Jayme), daughter Allyson and Paul; grandchildren, Liam, Reid, Kayla (Andrew), Darren (Meagan), Aymee, Ayden, Monica and Chloe; and many loving family and friends. He met his wife Jean and many other loved ones as he entered Heaven's gates and we know there was a grand celebration as he finished his race! Marvyn touched many lives with his kindness and quiet way and will always be remembered for his mischievous giggle, gentle spirit, and his faithful love and trust in his Lord. Thank you for the kindness of family, friends and the staff at CancerCare, Palliative Care and Riverview Health Care Centre during this very difficult time. A viewing will be held on July 13, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park'' Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. A funeral service will be held at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St., July 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Roseisle, Manitoba at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Manhattan Beach Camp or Red Rock Camp (CT). Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I was deeply saddened to read of Marv's passing. Marv was my first track coach. He was patient and kind and had a way of getting the best performance from each and every one of out team. From Marv, I learned the value of competition through both successes and failures. 'If you give it your very best, that is all you can do. You can only control what is within you. Preparation, both physical and mental, is the key to success.' To Marv's family my heartfelt condolences. The world was a better place because Marv was in it. - Posted by: Val Bishop (Student) on: Jul 13, 2016
