RONALD (RON) HERBERT NICHOL December 28, 1925 - July 12, 2016 Peacefully, at his home in Carman, Ron passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. He will be deeply missed by his sister Donna (Don) Doyle, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, friends in Carman and Sperling. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Margaret (Peckover); sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Ray) Cates, Doreen (Cameron) Kirk and Joan (Otto) Anderson. He spent his working life on the family farm north of Sperling, Manitoba. After retiring, he moved to Carman, but his heart remained with his roots in Sperling. Once in Carman, his yard and flowers replaced the fields and gardens that he took such pride in. In his younger years, Ron was an avid curler and continued to enjoy and follow the game on television. He enjoyed morning trips to the coffee shop with his friends. A private family service will be held at Doyle's Funeral Home with interment at the Sperling Cemetery. A public reception and time of fellowship will be held at the Sperling Arena on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Carman Area Foundation - Sperling Fund, P.O.
