LOUISE MARIE ANNE PINEAU (nee ROCAN) June 28, 1930 - July 12, 2016 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Louise Marie Anne Pineau (nee Rocan), at the age of 86, on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital surrounded by family. Mom leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her children, Gisele (Raymond), Michel (Karen), Line (Darrell), Marcel (Kim), Anita ( Gerry), grandchildren, Joel (Elaine), Jeremy (Maria), Paul (Aynslie), Leanne (Jody), Paul ( Kristen), Colin (Lindsay), Justin, Jordan, Jessie, Ryan (Victoria), Chris, Ricky and Mandy and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her only surviving sibling Louis Rocan, as well as her sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Emerie and Amélie Rocan, her husband Adelme Pineau in 2013, her first child Gérald at birth, and nine brothers and sisters. Louise was born and raised in LaBroquerie, Manitoba, where she met and married Adelme in October, 1950. They raised five children in Lorette, Manitoba. Mom loved planting a large garden and canning and getting together with family and friends to play cards. In her later years, Mom took many bus tours across Canada with Dad. Mom joined Dad at Foyer Valade in 2008 where they shared meals and enjoyed activities and Sunday Mass together. After Dad's passing, Mom's eyes were looking homeward to that place beyond the sky. So Jesus finally gave her life's greatest gift; the gift of letting go. The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital 5th Floor Palliative and Foyer Valade for their exceptional care and compassion for our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba, 4 Fort St., Ste. 100, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1C4, 204-786-0987. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East. Reception to follow. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

  • Our condolences to all of the family. We were neighbors in Lorette for many years. My mom Lucy (Goulet) Lavallee also resided at Foyer Valade for five years till her passing in July 2014. She enjoyed the activities at Foyer Valade when she would socialized with Mr. And Mrs. Pineau. - Posted by: Ghislaine & Richard Lambert () on: Jul 16, 2016
