I am saddened the loss of such a wonderful person. I have known his Honour since the early 80's when he presided at he Morden Courthouse. As police chief at the time I had the privilege to serve the judicial process many times in his courtroom. He was a fine gentleman, a courteous, fair and competent judge who demonstrated understanding and compassion where and when it was required. He was admired by members of my department and encouraging to the new young constables as they went through the learning process of courtroom procedures and protocol. Most of all I found him to be a great friend and enjoyed many conversations with him. He possessed a amiable and pleasant demeanor. I had great respect for him as a judge and also as a person. His loss will leave a large void in the lives of those that he has touched. Goodbye dear friend, Rest in Peace, and may God Bless You "Your Honour" Maurice Butler, former Chief of Police Morden Police Department, Morden, MB. - Posted by: Maurice Butler (Friend) on: Jul 21, 2016
