VALERIE DOREEN ROGERS January 22, 1938 - July 20, 2016 Surrounded by her children, Val passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. She leaves to mourn her children, extended family and many dear friends. Funeral Service to be held at the Selkirk United Church on Tuesday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m. At her request, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or to the CancerCare Society.   • Our heartfelt condolences go out to Val's family and special people in her life. Although I haven't seen Val for many, many years, I remember her face, smile and welcoming nature. I was lucky enough to be in contact with Val by email recently and we went down memory lane. We reminisced about Christmases from way back. She spoke about my mom (Bubbles) and said she was so happy to meet her and loved to have a big sister! Val was a kind and comforting human being.
