GARRY WILLIAM CHANWAY Peacefully on July 24, 2016, with family by his side, we announce the passing of Garry William Chanway. He will sadly be missed by his loving wife Christine Vermeer; daughter Carin Branquinho (John) and grandson Branden; as well as his sister Patricia (Jim); and brothers Les and Alan; and niece and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Michael Chanway; first wife Bylla Chanway; his parents; and brother Michael. Garry's greatest joy came from cooking and entertaining family and friends. He was very proud of his grandson and created many special memories that will be cherished. He lived for today. Regrets, I've had a few, but then again too few to mention. And more, much more than this, I did it my way. Frank Sinatra Cremation has taken place. Private celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Garry's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Christine, Carin, John and Branden and Family My Deepest Sympathy to all of you, May all your memories keep you strong at this time and always. Garry was and will always be a special person that came into my life, as he was more than a co-worker, he would bring me coffee in the mornings and of course there would be a comment every time and those I will cherish, funny guy he was. Family was everything to Garry, as he would always speak of his Grandson Branden whom he was so proud of. I will miss you my friend. - Posted by: Ginger and Randy (friend and co-worker) on: Aug 27, 2016

Carin, I can not express how sorry I am for you loss. Garry was a one of the nicest men I have every met. He was a doting father & grandfather. He loved you and Michael very much. He was a great grandfather and Branden has a life time of memories to keep close to his heart. I have been around for a long time & have seen how close you & your dad were. He will be missed by all. - Posted by: Marie (Friedn) on: Jul 30, 2016
