Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN THOMAS February 1, 1912 July 26, 2016 Lily passed away at the Simkin Centre on July 26, 2016 at the age of 104 years. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters Doris and Joan; and her beloved husband Fred in 1979. Lily leaves to mourn her passing her three children, Ron (Sandra) Thomas of Onanole, Diane (Dave) Davidson of Ottawa, Ontario and Donna Forbes of Winnipeg; grandchildren Lisa Klaverkamp, Jamie (Coleen) and Kevin (Aujah) Thomas; Rob (Marika), Jeff and Chris Davidson; Jason (Tracy) Forbes; and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB. A reception will follow at the church. A private interment will take place in Brandon, MB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre, 1 Falcon Ridge Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1V9. A special thanks to all the staff at the Simkin Centre who cared for Mum over the years.

To Ron, Diane, Donna and Family, Our very deepest sympathy to all of you. Aunt Lil, as we always called her, was such a wonderful gem and she is one person that I shall never forget. She was so kind and gentle and never spoke a harsh word. I do remember staying at the house north of Forrest and all the treats she would give us as kids. I so remember her laugh and her sweet smile. Knowing that she lived a good life and is "safe in the arms of Jesus" is reassuring. Another wonderful angel to look down on you all May she rest in peace. Sending our love and hugs to all.
