Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) WILLIAM SANDERSON Suddenly, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, Robert (Bob) Sanderson, aged 81 years passed at his residence. Poppa leaves to mourn his daughters, Thelma Daniels of Peguis, Doreen McKay (Frank) and Shirley Pennie (John) of Winnipeg; sons, Leslie (Crystal), Mickey (Shirley), Frankie (Lisa) all of Selkirk, Joe (Cheryl) of Winnipeg and Donald (Robyn) of North Vancouver, BC.; his extra son Lloyd Cook of Winnipeg; oldest grandson Dennis Sanderson who he raised and his special granddaughter Cheryl Sanderson, his Smurf. He also leaves behind 44 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Sanderson of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Marina Daniels, Doreen McPherson (Donny) of Peguis and Bernice Fontaine (Purvis) of Winnipeg; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many relatives and friends; and of course his old cat Hector who he dearly missed. Poppa was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Gladys; three children, Violet (Pie), Norma and Andy; brother Jimmy Sanderson; sister Winnie Langlois; parents Gordon and Elizabeth Sanderson and stepmother Laurie Sanderson. Poppa loved Bingo at Selkirk Legion, had a great love for cats and fiddling music. Prayers and viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with cremation to follow. Memorial Service will be Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., both at Gilbart Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at The Old Stone Church in East Selkirk. I will always remember uncle Bobby as a good natured, gentle person with an immense love for his family. I'm positive aunty Gladys was waiting with open arms for him.
