JULIE DESROCHERS (nee RICARD) January 27, 1930 - July 28, 2016 It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving wife, and mother who passed away peacefully on July 28, 2016 with her family by her side. Mom was predeceased by her son Raymond, mother Alexandrine, and father Joseph Ricard, her brothers Leo Ricard and Arthur Ricard and her sister Eva Lussier. Left to cherish her memories are her husband George of 66 years; son Hubert (Anita); daughters Lucie (Joe), Lucille (Glenn); grandchildren Lisa, Michele (Rich), Marc, Tracy (Mitch), Robert, Nicole (Ryan), and great-grandchildren Darrian, Wyatt, Alyssa, Fisher and Lakelyn. She is also survived by her sister Toni (Eddy); her brothers Rene (Marge), Leon (Marie-Onge), Tony (Bernice) and George (Sally) and many other family and friends. Mom lived life to the fullest and considered every day a gift. She enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling, going for walks. Family was important to Mom, she loved each of us unconditionally. A celebration of life will be held at the St. Boniface Cathedral on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, or the charity of your choice. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Our sympathies to the Desrochers family from the Syrenne family! - Posted by: Lucille Syrenne Pankiw () on: Aug 04, 2016

  • Our sympathies go to all the family .Your mom's smile was contagious. What a positive person she was.Julie trained me (Elsie) at the Tache Hospital, when I thought I wanted to be a nurse at the age of 17. What a great time we had. The tricks that her and her co-workers had were never to be forgotten. And of course she was a neighbor to Rene all your young life in Mariapolis. The place to be to enjoy a great musical evening while" memere Ricard" made up food galore. - Posted by: rene/elsie hacault (neighbor in mariapols) on: Aug 04, 2016
