WALTER GINGERA April 20, 1925 - August 4, 2016 With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Gingera on August 4 at the age of 91. Walter came from a large family of eight brothers and five sisters. He grew up on the farm in Gilbert Plains and from day one he worked hard all his life. For all those who knew Walter he was a man of his word, always willing to do anything for others, especially his family. His best qualities were his outgoing personality and his sense of humour. Walter worked at CNCP Telecommunications for 38 years where he made many lasting friendships. On his lunch hour he enjoyed playing crib and running the 649' pool. Walter loved hunting and fishing with his buddies, dancing at all functions and maintaining an immaculate lawn. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Janet of 62 years; daughters, Karen Szczepanski and partner, Steve, Lisa (Bill) Lowe, Leanne (Ron) Gawiak; and grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa), Nicole, Janelle and Evan, and his siblings. As per Walter's wishes there will be no formal service. Interment will follow at a later date. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the staff at Golden Links Lodge and VGH unit 5N who took such great care of him during this difficult time. We love you and miss you Walter/Dad/Grandpa. Rest in peace. xoxo
