Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN SAUDER (nee THELMA JEAN ROBINSON) March 11, 1925 - July 30, 2016 Peacefully, surrounded by family, Jean Sauder passed away at the age of 91. Jean was blessed with the love of two great men in her life; her first husband, Lt. Col. Mark Sauder (1926 - 1993), and her second husband, Don Walker. She is survived by her children Karen Sauder (Michel), Patricia Sauder (Bryen), Scott Sauder (Cathy), and John Sauder (Kim), as well as her loving grandchildren, Mark Lebar (Jamie), Erin Lebar, Charles Degré, McKenzie Sauder, and Rebecca Sauder. She was given the gift of love from a second family, Leslie Stewart (Dave), Karen Micholson (Brent), and Garth Walker (Tammy), and their caring children and grandchildren. Jean is predeceased by her parents Arlington and May Robinson; brother Donald Robinson (Hazel), and survived by brother Wray Robinson, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jean greatly enjoyed her life as the wife of a RCAF pilot, travelling the world with her family. She also cherished the later years of her life with the Walker family, and as a happy, involved resident at Sturgeon One where she was the "Life of the Party!" She will be missed by the staff and the many friends she made. Jean was an inspiration to us all, freely volunteering her time and sharing her tremendous love of music with family and friends. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring staff on the 4th floor of Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Society Canada, in memory of Jean's mother. We'll all miss her dearly and she'll forever play a song in our hearts! THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

Jean was a wonderful lady and a great friend to our mother, Dorothy Doherty when they both lived at 700 Setter. Their group of friends had many fun and music filled evenings. Jean lit up any place she entered with her wicked sense of humour and zest for life. She will be missed. - Posted by: Sandra Kleban (daughter of a friend of Jean's) on: Aug 24, 2016

Jean was the loveliest person. She was very kind and caring to me, and used to drive me to the hospital to see my husband after his accident. She will always live in my memory as a gentle and caring friend who helped me more than she knew. She was always ready with a smile and pleasant feelings, laughs and songs. I used to love singing with her. She was always ready with a song. She will live in my heart. - Posted by: Marie Graham (Friend from the reserve air force) on: Aug 08, 2016

Jean was a customer of mine at Birchwood Honda West. She would bring in her white Honda Prelude for service. Always enjoyed her visits, just a delightful lady. Am sorry for your loss. I feel very sure she will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Claudia Beischer () on: Aug 06, 2016

I'm so grateful to have met this wonderful lady. My heart goes out to the Sauder and Walker families. It's so hard to say good-bye. But what a life she led! That is worth celebrating. Somehow I know the music playing in heaven has just gotten sweeter thanks to the sound of Jean's violin. - Posted by: Janet Stewart (Friend of Jean's son John and daughter-in-law Kim) on: Aug 06, 2016
