LUCILLE LAURENCELLE FRIESEN December 2, 1951 - August 8, 2016 On Monday, August 8, 2016, Lucille peacefully passed away at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB, surrounded by family at the age of 64. She was born December 2, 1951 in La Broquerie, MB, to Louis and Georgeline Laurencelle. Lucille will be greatly missed by her loving husband Ron Friesen; her children, Eric (Mona), Christine Bergman (Kenton), and Marc (Julie); step-son Ken; step-daughter Kim; and six grandchildren, Soleil, Noah, Samuel, Olivier, Mylene and Maia. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Louis (Gisele), Eva (Marc), Alfred (Yvonne), Adrien, Victor (Carol), Hermance (Gordon), Marcien (Fleurette), Marie (Daniel); and sisters-in-law, Therese, Lina and Jocelyne (Bob). She will be fondly remembered by the Laurencelle and Friesen families and her many nephews and nieces. Lucille resided on the family homestead almost her entire life. Her last 25 years were spent working at Villa Youville in St. Anne where she will be missed by many colleagues. Lucille loved spending time with her family joking and laughing. Her "joie de vivre" was contagious. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Hospital for the compassionate care they provided Lucille and the family during Lucille's last weeks. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Parish, La Broquerie, MB. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I wish to express to Ron and his family, on behalf of the Villa Youville staff and residents, our most heartfelt condolences, Lucille was to all of us a wonderful friend whose presence will be greatly missed. Adieu Lucille. - Posted by: Paul Ruest (friend and colleague) on: Aug 10, 2016
