Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT VERNON UHL Peacefully, with family by his side, we announce the passing of Robert Vernon Uhl (Bob) at the age of 78, on August 8, 2016. Bob is survived by his partner Doris, his son Jayson (Nancy) and granddaughter Bobbi Rae, his son Jeff (Jeanne) and grandson Syngeon and granddaughter Rainah. He was preceded by his parents John and Tillie, his brother John and sister-in-law Marion, and his sister Norma and brother-in-law Al. Bob was born in Saskatchewan and in 1950 his family moved to Beausejour, which he considered his hometown. He was an amazing athlete and enjoyed all sports - especially hockey, baseball and curling. In 1963 he fell in love with farming and moved to Erickson where he operated a large hog farm. He was very involved in the community and sat on the Co-op board, the Hog Producer's board, the Rec Centre board and the church board, and also enjoyed coaching junior hockey. In 1996 Bob moved to Kenora and added boating, fishing and woodworking to the other sports and hobbies that he loved. A special thank you to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital and Dr. Harris of Grace Hospital for their care and support. A private graveside ceremony will be held in Beausejour, Manitoba.
