FRANK ERIC WARKENTIN March 29, 1931 August 17, 2016 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frank at the age of 77 years. Frank will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by the love of his life, Lynda; his children, Tammy (Bernie Rempel) and Jodi (Gary Friesen); grandchildren, Judson (Ashley), Dexter, Jozanna, Rayzanna, Kirbyn, Spencer, and Jalacey; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Thealyn; along with numerous brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his parents, brother John and sister Helen. A special thank you to the nurses, staff and palliative care team at the Victoria Hospital for their exceptional care. A very big thank you to Dr. Brian Sharkey and Pastor Dale Friesen for your care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at Fort Garry Mennonite Brethren Church, 1771 Pembina Highway on Monday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will be held at Glenlea Mennonite Church on Sunday, August 21 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Frank Warkentin to Mennonite Collegiate Institute, Gretna, MB.

  • I.Vern. was a room mate of Frank.s brother Peter at MCI and through this connection got to know the Warkentin Family.In the late 50,s I played hockey at Glenlea with all the six Warkentin brothers including Frank who was the youngest.Frank was always very friendly and a good sport> We still maintain a close friendship with Peter and Helen.
