Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIMPIA GUFFEI December 20, 1931 - August 18, 2016 On Thursday, August 18, 2016, Olimpia Guffei passed on at Seven Oaks Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Olimpia was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe; son Pasquale, parents, Angela and Eugenio Cifelli; brother Gaetano Cifelli; sisters, Filomena D'Ascanio and Giovannina Notte. She will be remembered by her devoted children, Lorenzo, Victor, Romeo (Teena), Gina (Ken) and Tony (Danielle); grandchildren, Julie (Brett) Gregory, Deena, Kyle (Kristen), Anne, Jesse, Matthew, Rebecca and Carinna; and great- grandson Brando. Olimpia was born in Castelpetroso, Italy and built a life in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a brave, strong woman and the world's best cook. She will be dearly missed as a mother, Nonna, Bisnonna, friend and aunt. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave. (across from Brookside Cemetery). Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her four grandsons and her nephews, Leo D'Ascanio and John Guffei. The family would like to thank the paramedics who attended to her, as well as the staff at Seven Oaks hospital for their care and compassion.
