EMILY ALICE KOLOGINSKI (nee MAKSYMETZ) It is with great love and fond memories that the family wishes to announce the passing of our mother Emily, on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Women's Hospital with family at her side. Mom was predeceased by her husband William Kologinski. Born on December 14, 1932 in the R.M. of Strathclair, MB. Emily is lovingly remembered by her three children, Kenneth, Rose-Marie and Patricia (Wayne); as well as four grandchildren, Michael and Melissa, Generra (Justin) and Alicia. Mom was very proud of her heritage and showed that by the food she made, to feed her family and entertain her guests. Her perogies, cabbage rolls, peroshke and baking were always requested by all. Mom was a proud member of the St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Ladies League. Her faith was incredibly important to her and she volunteered countless hours of her time for the church. In keeping with mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Street. A reception will immediately follow the service at St. Basil's Hall with a private family interment following the reception.
