MARCELINE JEANNE OUIMET PILON 1915 - 2016 Marceline passed away peacefully on August 19, 2016 at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, after having been accompanied by her family during the last week. She had celebrated her 101st birthday on April 9, 2016. Marceline was predeceased by her husband, René Pilon; her son-in-law Marius Lemoine; her grandson Alain Lemoine; her parents, Célina and John Ouimet; her brothers, Adrien and Michel Ouimet; her sisters, Marie-Reine Doucet, Simone Caron, Yvonne Barten and Félixine Mailhot; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Eveline Ouimet, Hélène Ouimet, Paul Doucet, Paul Mailhot, Marcel Caron and Philip Barten. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Doris, Eveline, Louise (Brian) and Irene (Eugène); her siblings, Jean-Léon (Marie), Adélard (Simone) and Cyrille (Lucille); her six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Marceline was raised in Union Point on the family farm. Her parents and grandparents guided her in the Catholic faith to which she remained faithful. She attended schools in Aubigny, Union Point and Ste. Agathe. In 1938, she married René Pilon in Ste. Agathe, where they settled and raised their four daughters. Marceline was dedicated to her family throughout her life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting and gardening. Her last years were spent at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface where she received the best care possible. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. Eugène Roman Catholic Church, 1009 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow later in the Ste. Agathe Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the caregivers at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, especially the outstanding staff on 3DE for their compassion, dedication and affection. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, 85 Despins Street, St. Boniface, MB R2H 2B3 or to a charity of your choice.
