LAWRENCE BURNS 1929 - 2016 On Sunday, July 31, 2016, our cherished father and grandfather, Mr. Larry Burns (Pa, Paba, Pakie), left our presence to join his beloved wife Frannie. Larry will be fondly remembered by his daughters, Susan (Richard) and Catherine; his grandchildren, Joe, Jess, Nathan, Roxy and Cassie; and friends who will carry forward his spirit and joy for music, literature, philosophical debate, dance, sunshine, boating and fishing, clever humour and original thought. Major Larry Burns enjoyed a successful career with the Royal Canadian Air Force, in which he took great joy working as a navigator and flying amongst the clouds. His retirement years were spent reliving his youth, where he was known amongst many as the "oldest teenager". Larry's passion for life will not be extinguished. He dances above us, fingers entwined with his childhood sweetheart "His wings soar From his chest Gliding gracefully Protecting the rest He overlooks Smiling peacefully" A private service will be held for family on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grace Hospital Foundation are gratefully appreciated. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
