A gentle **GIANT** of man. I will always remember him as our GREAT cub scout leader (AKELA) at the 113th PACK at the Christ Lutheran Church. This is now about 50 years ago since I last saw him, however the impression left upon me for my entire life, has REMAINED for both me and my brother Neil. ~DOUG - Posted by: DOUG HUTSEL (~cub~) on: Sep 13, 2016

Dear Cousin Ernie, Whenever I thought of you or saw you, you always had a jolly smile on your face. Now that you are with our Lord, the smile is even bigger. May He bless you and keep you, may He cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace! May thoughts of that smile comfort you, Doreen. Ernie was a great Cub leader. He was one of the many trainers who taught me when I first became a leader myself. He taught me well. Thank you, Ernie, for all you gave to Scouting. - Posted by: Roger Kingsley (Scouter) on: Aug 30, 2016
