ROBERT (BOB) BELL, C.D. Peacefully in the early hours of August 19, 2016, Bob passed away in his sleep. He will be sadly and lovingly missed by his wife Carol, their son Bryan (Jamie and grandson Lucas), as well as his daughter Debbie (Robin). Bob is also survived by his son Rick, daughter Lori (Steve), their mother Gertie and their families, as well as many of his cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and aunts (uncles). He also cherished and will be missed by his many friends and truly appreciated all the "coffee and visits" throughout the years. Bob spent 26 years in the armed forces with postings within Canada as well as abroad, retiring as a Master Warrant Officer. Following retirement, he began working with the Winnipeg Jets and worked his way up to the position of Executive Director of Marketing and Administration. After the team's move to the NHL, he transitioned to owning a private souvenir business with licenses for all major sports leagues. After retiring for a second time in 2000, he took nine days off before going back to work as a Commissionaire, and began his third career in security at the Winnipeg Airport, retiring for a third and final time in 2008. Bob also played hockey until age 50, then coached for many years after. He was Chairman of the St. Boniface "AA" Seals, and involved in the St. Boniface Junior B Hockey Team. During the summer months, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with friends and family. We would like to thank the staff of St. Norbert Personal Care Home for all they did for Bob during the past four months, as well as their kind and compassionate understanding and cooperation at our most difficult time. We also thank Kim and staff from St. Boniface Home Care for their daily help to keep Bob at home the last couple of years. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A memorial "come and go" reception will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, any random acts of kindness, "pay it forward", or donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family requests that if possible, listen to the song "A Pittance of Time" by Terry Kelly and remember all veterans. I am very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My condolences to Carol and Bryan. He was a great supporter of youth sports. I am sorry but I am unable to attend the ceremony as I will be out of province during that time. My thoughts are with you. - Posted by: doug bake (friend) on: Sep 06, 2016

Bob was one of sweetest people that I have ever worked with. Bob always took care of me, bought me sweets and even one time a pair of boots. He will deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. - Posted by: Nikki Todd (Co-worker, Avion Services Corp. ) on: Sep 04, 2016

Bob was more than a mentor to me, he was an adopted father figure. He always had the time to listen to me and give me good sound advice. I will always love and miss your advice. The world is just a bit smaller with out you. R.I.P. Dad. John T.A. MacIsaac - Posted by: John T.A. MacIsaac (Freind) on: Sep 03, 2016
