MELVIN W. ERDAHL April 26, 1936 - August 31, 2016 It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Melvin (Mel) W. Erdahl. Born and raised in Assiniboia, SK, he was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Mel moved to Swift Current in 1956 working at the Cinema Theatre where he met and married Kay in 1958, and moved to Winnipeg in 1960 where he has resided ever since. He was a Movie Projectionist having worked at every theatre in the city, retiring from Silver City St. Vital in 2003. After retiring he liked to travel, spend time with the grandchildren and his four legged friend Chip. He is survived by his wife Kay, of 58 years, daughter Kelly (Tom) White, grandchildren Tommy, Andrew, and Kyra; daughter Marlo (Kevin) Hurtecant, and grandson Stephen. Special thanks to Sean Roe, Mel's Palliative Care nurse. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
