For the past two and a half years, Peter was a good neighbour. He was a good man, always having a friendly, caring greeting. He is a good example of a positive attitude in the face of adversity, and acceptance of things he could not change. I will always remember what he said about facing the future-- "we'll have to see what comes" His sense of humour was appreciated. Peter will be missed. I wish all the family all the best. My condolences, and sadness for your loss. Irene Pauls, Eastern Star Chalet, Winnipeg - Posted by: Irene Pauls (Neighbour at Eastern Star Chalet) on: Sep 09, 2016

To Peter’s Family and Friends: I wish to extend my condolences to you all. Peter was a fellow sailor at the Silver Harbour Sailing Club at Arnes, MB, and I suppose we had a special bond as we sailed identical boats. I can remember sharing information with him about my boat when he was looking for a similar one in Ontario back in 2007. A quiet man, but one could not ask for a better friend. It was a sad day when he had to give up sailing when another form of illness forced him to give up something which brought him great pleasure. We kept in touch over the years by email and sometimes by phone, and I was aware of his recent illness, as we had phone conversations during his treatments. I hope it helps in some way to relieve the burden you are all experiencing at this difficult time, to know your loss is shared with friends you have never met.
