Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY WOOD (PERRY) Audrey Wood aged 86 passed away peacefully August 27, 2016. Audrey was born April 22, 1930 in Pine Falls, Manitoba. She was the oldest child of the late Roy and Gladwyn (Smith) Perry. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Albert Wood. She was the dearest and most devoted mother to her children, Susan (Robert Gratton), Jeff (Coral), Greg (Lien) and Grant (Kathy). She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister to Verna (Bill Eastcott) and Judy (Dave Korolyk). Mom finished High School and went on to graduate from Success Commercial College in 1949. She had a great sense of adventure and left home at the age of 19 to work in Calgary where she enjoyed playing tennis and traveling to the west coast. She worked for a time in Calgary before returning to marry her sweetheart Albert Wood in August of 1951. They settled in Lac du Bonnet and lived on the banks of the Winnipeg River where they raised their four children. Family was the most important thing to Mom. She went out of her way to ensure her four children got a chance to participate in activities such as music lessons and sports. Mom, Dad, and kids spent many weeks in the summer travelling coast to coast camping in a tent trailer. After Dad retired, they joined the Sunny Sams and travelled in their 5th wheel trailer throughout North America. The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Park Nursing Home for their compassion, care, and understanding. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 5 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. God has you in his arms And we have you in our hearts We love you Mom NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

I was stationed at the USAF Radar site at Milner Ridge from 1958 to 1960. We lived in a house trailer on the Woods property in Lac Du Bonnet. Be came very good friends of both Bert and Audrey for years exchanging Christmas cards. We lost track of them a few years back and I often searched for them on the internet with out success, until I found Bert's Obit in June of 2014. I just came across Audrey's Obit today and would like to express our deepest condolences for their lost to their family. May God Bless the Woods family with good health and much happiness. I have great memories of Audrey as I grew up through my teenage years on their rental property along the Winnipeg River. She was always kind, pleasant, and joyful while in her presence. She always made me feel at home when over playing ping pong or other games with Jeff and Greg. And kept Susan and Jeff out of trouble when hanging out with me. Rest in peace. Auntie Audrey you will be greatly missed by all. You are in Gods hands and again with your dear Husband Bert. I remember so many good times in LDB and too many stories to repeat. And my mother, your sister-in-law would come back to haunt me if I did. I love you to the moon and back. Sandra My heartfelt condolences to Susan and Bobby, Jeff and Coral, Greg and Lien, Grant and Kathy and their families. - Posted by: Sandy Denne (Wood) (Niece) on: Sep 03, 2016
